Once she moved to Maine, she worked in several different fields including sales, event planning, and business management/development while raising her two children. She spent over six years in the field of Human Resources in New York City. Heather attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia majoring in Sociology and Philosophy. In the 25 years or so that she has lived and worked on Mount Desert Island, Heather has cultivated and maintained relationships with a wide variety of businesses, residents and seasonal visitors including donors and volunteers that assist her in identifying and developing strategies for donor prospect cultivation. She has overseen, planned, organized and conducted successful fundraisers for development efforts on MDI. She first served on the Town of Mount Desert’s Planning Board, then served on the School Board and chaired the MDIRSS AOS 91 Board for four years. In her free time, Courtney enjoys being outdoors, going on trips with her family, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her friends and family.Ģ0 Jones moved to Mount Desert Island in 1997 where she quickly became involved in the community. With her love for helping people in the community, and always looking for ways to make a difference, Courtney found her way to Philanthropy and Public Affairs in the Advancement Office at Mount Desert Island Hospital in the summer of 2022.Ĭourtney, and her husband Kyle, a local lobsterman from Gouldsboro, reside in Sullivan with their two children, Emmett and Reagan, two dogs, Maverick and Goose, and two cats, Tucker and Skye. Working at First National Bank for nearly six years, Courtney filled many roles there as a Banking Consultant, regional in-branch trainer, and finally onto Relationship Associate working with First National Wealth Management. Post-graduation, Courtney moved to Ellsworth and began working in a few various jobs before settling into the world of finance at First National Bank. She attended local schools Mount Desert Elementary and Mount Desert Island High School before graduating from MDIHS in the summer of 2011.
